The following item was in the May 27, 1920, Lowell Tribune (page 1, column 4):

    Surprise Party

    The Good Will Circle Class of the Christian Sunday school planned a complete surprise on Miss Edythe Dickinson a member of the class, it being her birthday. The married ladies of the class took their husbands which made 40 present. The evening was spent playing games and social chat, during which time refreshments of ice cream and angel food cake were served. At a late hour the guests departed well pleased with the enjoyable evening they had spent together and wishing Miss Edythe many happy returns of the day.
