The following September 22, 1927, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 1, column 4:

    DEATH OF INFANT

    Undertaker William Sheets was called to South Bend Tuesday to bring the remains here of Elizabeth Cox, the two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cox, who passed away the night before. Her parents formerly lived at Shelby. This is the second child the bereaved parents have been called on to part with in the last few months, and now they are left childless. They certainly have the sympathy of the many friends in their great bereavement. Funeral services have not been arranged as yet.
