The following September 9, 1926, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 1, column 5:
    Ella Stowell Born, daughter of Myron and Lestian* Stowell, was born at Defiance, Ohio, November 6, 1873, and departed this life Aug. 30, 1926, at St. Margaret hospital, Hammond, Ind., aged 52 years, 9 months and 24 days.

    On January 3, 1901, she married Roscoe C. Born. To this union four children were born. The father, Roscoe C. Born, and the daughter, Mary, and three sons, Myron, John and Oliver, survive her. Others surviving her are: two sisters -- Emma Kimball of Genoa City, Wisconsin, Etta Sanders of Lowell; two brothers -- Loren Stowell and Warren Stowell, of Washington State; four step-brothers -- Frank and Perry Haskell, Schneider, Ind., Edward and Charles Haskell, of Chicago Heights, Ill.

    Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church at Schneider Wednesday, at 2 p.m. Rev. Thomas Smart preached the funeral sermon. The following acted as pall bearers: H.F. Richter, H.E. Turner, Ed. Bruckman, Earle C. Pulver, Roy Black, J.D. Schoolcraft. The music was furnished by Mrs. Harry Sanger and Mrs. Forrest Griesel, with Mrs. Raymond McCarty as organist. Interment was made in Pine Grove cemetery. Undertaker Sheets had charge of the burial service.

* NOTE -- Although this article lists the first name of the mother of Ella Stowell Born as "Lestian," a family history by Gerald M. Born lists it as "Lestina."
