Funeral Services Held Tuesday for Mrs. John McMann
Deepest sympathy is extended the family of Mrs. John (Emma Henderson*) McMann, 64 who passed away at her home on Clark street Saturday noon, August 18. She had been in ill health for several months.Born at Lebdon on April 6, 1892, Emma Myrtle was the daughter of Peter and Mary Henderson. She was married to John McMann on March 25, 1908. They were the parents of five daughters and two sons. The boys died in infancy. Mr. McMann passed away in October of 1952.
Mrs. McMann was a member of the Lowell Church of Christ.
Rev. E. L. Worley, of Lowell, pastor of the Shelby Church of Christ, officiated at memorial services conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, in the Sheets Funeral Home. She was laid to rest beside her husband in the Lowell cemetery.
Survivors include her daughters and families, Ruth Gaarz of Schneider, Bethel Rejhon and Margaret Bolt of Lowell, Violet Porch of Valparaiso, and Florence Riley of Palmer; also 12 grandchildren, a half brother, Arthur Staff of Lowell, and other relatives and friends.
* NOTE -- In this article, Emma McMann's maiden name is listed as "Henderson," but her father's death notice lists him as "Peter Hendrickson."
