Fay A. Stowell
- Word has been received of the safe arrival of Pvt. Fay Stowell in Northern Ireland, where he is now stationed with the medical corps.
The following article from the Lowell Tribune (Apr. 27, 1994) can be found in the Local History Files at Lowell Public Library (LH--Vital Statistics, vol. 4, page 87):
- Fay A. Stowell, age 75, of Hammond, passed away Tues., Apr. 19, 1994. He is survived by: four sisters, Helen Haskell of Shelby, Jesse Stuhlmacher of Crown Point, Betty (Gene) Burkholder of California and Margaret Burski of Hammond; two brothers, Lewis (Hallie) Stowell of Crown Point and Eugene Stowell of Chicago, Ill., and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Apr. 23 at Sheets Funeral Home, Lowell, with Pastor Charles Hochmuth officiating. Interment followed at Sanders Cemetery in Lowell.Visitation was held from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Apr. 22 at the funeral home. Fay Stowell was a World War II military veteran.
