Flora M. Burnham Maxwell (1861-1889)

- Mrs. Flora M. Burnham Maxwell was born in West Creek, August 13, 1861, and died in Lowell of diphtheria November 22, 1889, aged 28 years, 3 months and 9 days. She was sick about ten days, and everything that medical skill and kind attention could do was done, but without avail.
She was married to Homer S. Maxwell December 16, 1880. To this union two children were born: a little boy about 7 years old now, and a little baby boy about six months old; both living. Mrs. Maxwell was a lady of gentle, quiet manners; qualities that made friends of all who became acquainted with her.
Her mortal remains were quietly interred in the Lake Prairie cemetery, there to rest in quiet slumber until the great awakening. To the bereaved husband and motherless children we extend out deepest sympathy.
