Flora V. Edgerton Cutler

Flora V. Edgerton Cutler
(Mrs. Leslie Grant Cutler)

The following unidentified newspaper article, hand-dated September 17, 1931, was found in the Lowell Public Library's clipping files:
Sept. 2 will be a day long to be remembered by Mrs. Flora Cutler living north of Lowell, for on that day she was 70 years young and in honor of the event, her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Henry Cutler, gave her a surprise party at her home.

Several of her old friends were invited in to spend the day and at noon a fine dinner was served by Mrs. Henry Cutler to the assembled guests. The day was most pleasantly spent by all in visiting and talking over times of long ago. Those present were: Mrs. Marquette, of Valparaiso, mother of Mrs. Henry Cutler, and her sister, Mrs. Hebig, of Wilmette, Ill., and Mrs. J.L. Hill of Lowell.
