    Mrs. Frank Shourek, left last Thursday for New York, where she will spend a short vacation with her husband, who is stationed at Fort Mommouth, N. J.

The following Sept. 7, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2 column 2:

    Here Visiting Family

    T/Cpl. Frank Shourek, stationed in New Jersey, spent from Friday until Tuesday here with his wife and little son at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Tappan.

The following November 9, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5 column 3:
    Cpl. Frank Shourek, recently given an honorable discharge from the army, joined his wife and son at the home of Mrs. Shourek's parents, the Walter C. Tappans. They will leave soon to make their home in Hammond.
