The following August 23, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:

    Leaves for Overseas

    Mr. and Mrs. Keith Dinwiddie received word Thursday from their daughter, Ruby, that her husband, G.P. Lawson, Ph.M. 1/c, received his orders for overseas duty. He left Saturday for Shoemaker, Calif., for his port of embarkation.
The following October 18, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 2:
    Pharmacists Mate 3/c Larry Lawson of Great Lakes Naval Station, accompanied by his wife, the former Ruby Dinwiddie, visited her parents, the Keith Dinwiddies, here several days last week.
