George Burdette Lee
- The sudden death of Geo. Burdette Lee was the cause of considerable
com[ment] in this community on account of his previous good health and
the short time of his last illness. Because of the doubt existing in
the minds of some, the stomach and contents were removed at the post-
Mortem and sent it to the Columbus Laboratories, Chicago, for
examination. A report recently received from the laboratory confirms
our previous belief that no poison would be found. Test for all acids
and poison, including Strychnine, were absolutely negative. The cause
of death was Tetany. This statement is made that the reputation of the
deceased may suffer no injustice.
