The following article was found in the March 29, 1917, Lowell Tribune on page 1, column 4:
Married
Married at the home of the bride's parents, Edward Kern, of Danville, Ill., to Miss Georgia Kirschenstein Monday, March 26th. The ceremony was performed by Rev. V.B. Servies, pastor of the Lowell M.E. church. There were about twenty-five guests present. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kirschenstein, of Belshaw, and one of our most respected and highly esteemed young ladies. The groom is a trainman of the C., I, & S railroad, and those who know him speak of him in the highest terms of praise. The newly married couple left on the 6 p.m. train for Danville, where they will make their future home. The newly married couple have congratulations of their friends.The following August 30, 1928, Lowell Tribune obituary appeared on page 8, column 3:
PASSED AWAY AT DANVILLE
Mrs. Georgia (Kirchenstein) Keins, wife of Edward Keins, passed away at Danville, Ill., August 20, 1928, age 35 years, 3 month and 9 days. She was the mother of two sons, Edward Jr., age six, and Robert E., age 16 months.She was the daughter of Mr. and Mr. George Kirchenstein, of Belshaw, and most of her girlhood days were spent in this vicinity.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, two sons, father and mother, five sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services were held at Danville Thursday of last week. Interment was made at Spring Hill cemetery in that city.
