The following August 23, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, columns 1-2:

Return to California

Pfc.Glenn McColley and wife returned to their home at Burbank, Calif., after spending part of his 30 day furlough with his sister, Mrs. Wilbur Dulin and husband, and other relatives and friends, whom he had not seen for 13 years.

After serving a peace-time enlistment commencing in 1932, he settled in California and two years ago was called to serve his county again.

He is now with a photo company in the signal corps. In addition to a Good Conduct ribbon he wears the European Theatre Ribbon with four battle stars.

He will report to Camp Beale, Calif., for further assignment, and his wife will resume her work as artist in the Walt Disney studios.
