A copy of the following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

ANOTHER OLD RESIDENT DIES IN NEBRASKA

On Monday morning, Oct. 2, at the home of his daughter in Fairbury, Neb., occurred the death of G.B Handley, a former resident of Crown Point.

Goodsel Buckingham Handley was born in Richmond County, Ohio, on Dec. 18, 1835, and on Sept. 2, 1860, was united in marriage to Mary A. Burge at Crown Point, Indiana. They resided in Lake County until 1903 when they went to Jefferson County, Neb., to be with their children.
