Mrs. Grace Blair, 67, Longtime Resident, Dies Suddenly
Mrs. Grace M. Blair, 67, a resident of the Lake Dalecarlia community for almost 30 years, passed away very suddenly Friday evening, bringing grief to her shocked family and friends.In apparent good health, she had gone to Indianapolis to spend Thanksgiving in the home of her niece, Mrs. Joe Paul. Enroute home, via the Monon, she laid her head back to rest, and slept peacefully away.
Mrs. Blair was an active member of the Lake Dalecarlia Community church, the Women's Missionary Society, and Lake Dale Home Demonstration club, as well as social groups.
Born August 4, 1887, at Louisville, Ky., Mrs. Blair and husband, John Blair who passed away in 1946, came to Lowell in 1926, from Monon, Indiana.
Survivors include one son, Robert, of Miami, Florida; and three daughters, Mrs. Stella Hack of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Isabella Yates of Lake Dalecarlia (Lowell), and Mrs. Paula Wozniak of Miami, Florida. A son, Vernon, is deceased. Also surviving is a brother, Ed Ryan of Lowell, besides grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends.
Rev. O.R. Foster, pastor of the Lake Dale church, officiated at memorial services held Monday, November 29, at 2 p.m., in the Weaver Funeral Home. Interment was made in the Lowell cemetery.
