The following unidentified newspaper article comes from an album owned by Clay Strickland:
- Grant Hayden, 73, died in the Gary M.E. hospital Thursday night, November 2, after several weeks' illness. He is survived by his wife and three children, Verne Hayden of Lafayette, Forrest Hayden of Chicago and Mrs. Lou Strickland of Lowell. Five grand children are living. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church in Lowell Sunday afternoon. Burial was in the Lowell cemetery.
