Hazel Smith Scritchfield

Hazel Smith Scritchfield
(Mrs. Logan Scritchfield)

The following article was found in the Jan. 7, 1943, Lowell Tribune on page 2, column 3:
Mrs. Hazel Scritchfield enjoyed a sight-seeing trip to New York City the last of the week, making the trip by plane from Chicago. Because of uncertain flying weather, the air schedules were cancelled, compelling her to prolong her stay until flying could be resumed. The trip was made in four hours going over and six hours returning. Ten hours in the air is a long time, but Mrs. Scritchfield states that her first experience with air travel was a very pleasant one.
