Henry Ford

The following June 11, 1925 Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 1, column 2:

    HAS MIRACULOUS ESCAPE

Henry, the little five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ford, summer residents at Cedar Lake, Indiana, had a narrow escape from death a few days ago when an automobile passed over his body while he was asleep in the road. Awakened instantly, the child raised his head and was struck by the axel of the machine and suffered a bad scalp wound. The child was rendered unconscious. The car was driven by H.J. Williams, a student at South Bend, and he did not see the child in the road until too late to stop the car, but swerved the car enough so that the wheels would not run over it. The little fellow was rushed to Crown Point for medical attention and the latest report is that he will recover.
