Henry Hadel (1844-1920)
- Henry Hadel was born in Germany August 13, 1844, and died at his home in Lowell October 10, 1920, at the age of 76 years, 1 month, 27 days. He was married to Minnie Weitbrock February 18, 1884, by Rev. Wason (deceased) of Lake Prairie. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Mr. Hadel was the last of a family of six, four sisters and two brothers, to pass away. His last sister passed away in Germany two years ago.
Funeral services were held at the home October 12, 1920, Rev. Charles Dissmeir, of Chicago, former pastor of the German Methodist church, conducting the services. Music furnished by Mrs. Hayhurst and Mrs. Belshaw. The following neighbors from his old home at Lake Prairie, where he has resided since his marriage until moving to Lowell in December 1919, acted as pallbearers: Frank Rudolph, Will Cars tens, Charles Wood, August Hadders, David Kruger and Charles Hertz. Undertaker Weaver had charge of the burial services. Interment in the Lake Prairie cemetery.
