Henry Poppe
from The Lowell Tribune, Dc. 27, 1917, page 8, column 1:
- Henry Poppe has received a letter from his son, Henry, who enlisted in the army, a few days ago and he says he is enjoying the life hugely. He is stationed at Columbus Barracks, Ohio. He intended to go into the motorcycle corps, but was transferred into the National army. He says he is not homesick, but would enjoy having the Tribune and other news from home.
