The following July 10, 1924 Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 1, column 5:

    WELL KNOWN FARMER IS A SUICIDE

    New was received here on Wednesday that Henry Schoenbeck, a well known Hanover township farmer living near the state line committed suicide by hanging, his lifeless remains being found by relatives.

    The deceased was for many years assessor of Hanover township and was well known and highly respected in that community. He was born August 15, 1861, and leaves a wife and a number of children to mourn his tragic ending.

    The funeral services will be held on next Sunday afternoon at the Hanover Prairie Evangelical church.
