Henry T. Lundgren
- Construction Electrician Third Class Henry T. Lundgren, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lundgren of 2309 Church St., Crown Point, Ind., and husband of the former Miss Carol L, Eaton of Merrillville, Ind., celebrated the 26th Seabee Anniversary while serving with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 53 at Camp Adenir, near Danang, Vietnam.
Serving its first deployment in Vietnam, his battalion supports Allied forces in the five northernmost provinces in South Vietnam.
In Vietnam, Seabees build airstrips, temporary housing, port facilities, fuel storage tanks, drill water wells and construct other facilities as they become necessary.
Occasionally they become targets for enemy snipers. When this happens the builders become defenders and put to use combat skills acquired in training.

Construction Electrician Third Class Henry T. Lunderen, USN, 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lunderen of Crown Point, Ind., and husband of the former Miss Carol L. Eaton of Morriville, Ind., is serving with Mobile Construction Battalion 53 in Danang, Vietnam. As a member of the battalion he took part in his unit's first birthday celebration as a re-commissioned construction battalion. In Vietnam, the "Seabees" provide technical assistance to villagers with construction projects. They also build airstrips, temporary housing, port facilities and other facilities as they become necessary.NOTE: The last name was misspelled in this article.
