Hobart Estill

The following Jan. 7, 1943, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 6, column 4:
Mrs. Hobart Estill went to Missouri to be with her soldier husband at Camp Crowder.

The following article was found in the May 18, 1944, Lowell Tribune on page 3, column 1:

    Writes Tribune from India

Cpl. Hobart Estill of Shelby, stationed in India, has the following to say in a letter to the Tribune this week:

      Hiya Fellows:

I'm in India -- the land of Sacred cows and damn hot battles. Millions of insects and a h___ of a lot of jungles. Tell all the rest of the G.I.'s hello for me.

      As ever,
      Hobart

Hobart didn't say he disliked the country, but by reading between the lines you'll find there are several things that bother him a little.
