    Passes Away

Mrs. Henry Haefker (nee Ica Fross) was born June 24, 1860, at North Judson, Ind. With her folks she moved to Lowell, where she united with the Christian church. Later she moved to Chicago, where she was united in marriage to Henry Haefker August 30, 1902. About two years ago she moved to Creston for her health, returning to Chicago about the middle of October. After being a patient sufferer for many years, it was finally her lot to contract typhoid fever. All that a loving husband and medical skill could do, was of no avail. The angel of death had called her and she passed to that great beyond February 24.

Funeral services were held at the home of her sister, Mrs. Bessie Falk. She was laid to rest in Elm Lawn cemetery, where her mother, father and brother are buried. Rev. Kauffman, of the Ravenswood English Lutheran church, preached the funeral sermon. She leaves to mourn her departure a loving husband, one sister and a large circle of friends.

Those attending the funeral from out of the city were: Mrs. Mary Burdine, Mrs. Cora Turner, of Hebron, Ind.; Mrs. Thuel Hayden, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fisher, Joe Dinwiddie, of Lowell, Ind.; Mrs. Frank Robinson, of Hammond, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ross, of Creston, Ind.; and Mrs. Orrin Kolb, of Momence, Ill.
