Jacob Minninger (1829-1895)
- Jacob Minninger was born in Germany December 26th, 1829, and died at his home in Lowell, Indiana, October 31st, 1895, after an illness of six months, aged 66 years, 10 months and 5 days. At the age of 22 years he came to Lake county where he has since resided. Mr. Minninger was united in marriage to Miss Mary Klein April 20th, 1852. To this unioin were born 14 children -- 8 daughters and six sons -- 10 of which survive their father. The funeral took place at the Catholic church Saturday, November 2. He leaves a wife, ten children, 25 grand children, two sisters and one brother to mourn his loss. The remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery.
