James Wililam Belshaw
Belshaw - Fiiegenschuh
- In the presence of immediate family members and friends, Ensign James
William Belshaw and Miss Maurene Fiiegenschuh were united in marriage at
the home of the groom's mother, Mrs. J.W. Belshaw in Hammond last Friday
at 4 p.m. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Paul J. Renz, pastor of
the First United Lutheran church of Hammond. Edward Belshaw served his
brother as best man, and the only attendant of the bride was Miss
Shirley Hannipal of Chicago, a former college classmate.
After the ceremony the bride's parents entertained family members at a dinner at Woodmar Country club, and on Sunday the groom's mother gave a family dinner at the club.
The groom was born in Lowell, living here with his parents until their removal to Hammond a number of years ago. He has many friends here who extend them both best wishes.
Ensign Belshaw and wife have gone to Portland, Oregon, where he has been assigned to duty after completing his training at Miami, Florida.
Lieut. Elliot Belshaw, brother of the groom, and his wife and two sons were home from Louisville, Ky., where the Lieutenant is stationed, to be in attendance at the wedding.
