    JEAN IDDINGS WEDS PAUL BROWN

Before a lovely, improvised altar, banked with palms and ferns, and set with baskets of freesias and tall white tapers, the Rev. Edward Strecker read the wedding service on Saturday afternoon, uniting in marriage Miss Jean Iddings, attractive daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John W. Iddings, and Paul Brown. Mr. Brown is the youngest son of Mrs. Neil Brown of North Main street. Only relatives were present. The bride made a charming picture as she descended the stairs on the arm of her father at the hour of four thirty. Her sister, Miss Janet Iddings, was her only attendant.

The wedding party entered the living room to the strains of the Lohengrin wedding march, played exquisitely by Mrs. Fred Iddings.

Holton Brown served his brother as best man.

The bride was dressed in a beautiful gown of white novelty crepe, with a jacket and short train.

An off the face faille hat completed the lovely costume. She carried a sheaf of calla lilies.

Her sister Janet wore a fashionable frock of rose crepe, with matching off the face hat, and slippers. She carried an arm bouquet of mixed spring flowers. Following congratulations, a buffet supper was served by Lamsons in the attractive dining room where spring flowers were used effectively.

A beautiful wedding cake centered the dining room table, made exquisite with beautiful linen and silver.

Mr. and Mrs. Brown left shortly after for a three weeks motor trip to New Orleans. For traveling, Mrs. Brown wore a navy blue gown with matching accessories.

On their return they will live in an attractive new house on the Crown Point-Lowell road, near the "S" curve.

Mrs. Brown, a popular Crown Point girl, is a graduate of the Crown Point high school. She later attended Francis Shimer and Mount Carroll, Ill. She completed her education at Northwestern University, receiving a B.A. degree in 1932. She is a member of the Gamma Delta sorority. She is also a member of the Tri Kappa sorority in Crown Point.

Many delightful pre-nuptual parties have been given in her honor since the announcement of her engagement.

Mr. Brown is one of Crown Point's splendid young men. He also is a graduate of the Crown Point high school. He was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania several years ago. At present he is assistant cashier and vice-president of the First National bank in Crown Point.
