Joanna Bryant Beebe (1840-1920)

- Joanna Bryant was born April 2, 1840, near Lowell, Indiana, and passed away at her home at 8 p.m. Friday, January 30, at the age of 79 years.
In 1862 she married Edwin R. Beebe who preceded her in death in 1906. To them were born three children, Joanna, Edwin and Ione, who are left to mourn the loss of a devoted mother.
Mrs. Beebe will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends. As long as her strength permitted she was active in church and community circles. Always quiet and unassuming, she never hesitated to do her part in any good work. She had been a patient sufferer for the past several years. Confined to her home and later to her chair, her patience and unfailing cheerfulness were remarkable.
The funeral services were held from the M.E. church Monday afternoon, Rev. Arthur Johnson, of Waldo, officiating. The remains were taken on the afternoon train to Hebron, Indiana, where interment was made. -- Princeton (Wisconsin) Republic.
