The following August 16, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 4:

    JOHN A. TAYLOR FAMILY HOLD GET-TOGETHER SUNDAY

    Sunday, August 12, was the day for a family gathering of the John A. Taylor family at the farm home of his son Victor and wife.

    The weather being favorable a picnic dinner was eaten out in the yard.

    All members of the family were able to be present except Chester, who is with the armed forces in Europe, and his wife, who lives in Los Angeles, Calif.; also John, who with his wife and three children, live in El Cajon, Calif. Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. John A. Taylor of Lowell, Mr. and Mrs. William Neburka and family of Brookfield, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Searle and family, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Smith and daughter of Lowell; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Taylor and daughter of Crown Point; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jun and daughter of Riverside, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Taylor and children.

    All were invited to the Neburka home in Brookfield for next year's gathering.
