John Dudas
STRUCK BY TRAIN
John Dudas, who runs a packing house in Hammond, was struck by train number 5 on the Monon yesterday morning at the crossing at Creston. He was driving his truck to Lowell and his son about 14 years old was with him. Being rather cold they were bundled up and did not see the train until it was right on them. Mr. Dudas and the boy were brought to Lowell and given medical attention by Dr. J.W. Iddings, the railroad doctor here, but while they were badly bruised up he could find nothing serious. They were coming to Lowell to get some hogs he had bought of John Jones. Mr. Jones took both man and boy back to their home in Hammond. We understand the truck was completely demolished.Return to Biographies.
