A copy of the following newspaper article, hand-identified as being from the Sept. 13, 1956, Lowell Tribune, was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

John Skinner New Coach-Teacher At Lowell Grade School

John F. Skinner of Lafayette has been obtained to fill in for Seth McLellan, Lowell grade school teacher who is a victim of polio.

Mr. Skinner, who holds a master's degree, will assume his duties at L.G.S. on Monday where he will teach shop, physical education and mathematics.

Prior to serving with the U.S. Navy, Mr. Skinner taught for two years. He and his family will move to Lowell.
