The following article was found in the January 28, 1943, Lowell Tribune on page 2, column 3:
    PASSED AWAY AT HOME OF PARENTS LAST FRIDAY

    John F. Thunboe, 34, passed away at the farm of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Thunboe, west of Lowell, last Friday. He had been an invalid for several years.

    Besides his parents, he leaves three brothers, Jacob, Homer, and Carl at home, and a sister, Mrs. Alice Moore of Chicago. His wife died two years ago.

    Funeral services were held at the home of the parents Monday morning, Rev. Roy Brumbaugh of the Lake Prairie Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial was in Round Lake, Ill., in charge of Kenneth Sheets.
