The following July 17, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 2:

Son of Roselawn Man Assigned To New York Anti-Aircraft Unit

Fort Totten, N.Y. -- Private John M. Salle, son of John M. Sallee of Roselawn, has been assigned to Battery D, 526th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion as a cannoneer. He was inducted into federal service on January 9 of this year.

The 526th AAA Battalion is stationed at historic Fort Totten, located on Long Island Sound in the borough of Queens in New York City.
