John Mandioni

The following article was found in the January 6, 1944, Lowell Tribune on page 2, column 3:

    AGED SHELBY COUPLE CALLED LAST WEEK

    Mr. and Mrs. John Mandioni, of Shelby, were taken to the Gary Methodist hospital Wednesday of last week, both very seriously ill. Mr. Mandioni, 75, passed away that evening and Mrs. Mandioni, 73, died the following day.

    This well known couple moved to Shelby from Chicago a number of years ago and had resided there since that time.

    Funeral services were held at the Shelby Catholic church last Sunday morning, after which the remains were taken to Chicago, where interment was made in charge of Kenneth Sheets.
