The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

Mr. and Mrs. John Genge

John Genge and his bride, the former Miss Peggy Boyens, are now at home on Rural Route 2, Lowell. The couple were married at an 11 o'clock nuptial high Mass at St. Edward's church on August 4, with the Rev. Father Boney officiating.

Mr. Genge is a machinist at Continental Foundry in East Chicago.
