Joseph H. Slaybaugh (1853-1897)

The following undated, unidentified newspaper article was found in a copy of Helen Craft's Scrapbook at the Lowell Public Library:

Joseph H. Slaybaugh son of Jacob and Elizabeth Slaybaugh was born at Chrestline, Crawford county, Ohio, September 27, 1853, and removed with his parents to Lake county, Indiana, in February 1875 of which place he has been a resident ever since. He died Dec. 19, 1897, aged 44 years, 2 months and 22 days. His funeral took place at the residence of Fredrick Fisher December 21 at 2 o'clock p.m., W.B. Warren officiating. His mortal remains were laid to rest beside his parents in the Lowell cemetery.
