This October 4, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 5:
    T/Sgt. Jos. W. Doherty, Lowell, a flight chief with the 437th Troop Carrier Wing, is one of the key Korean Airlift personnel who are celebrating the 1st anniversary of the 315th Air Div. (combat cargo), Far East Air Forces. The 437th Troop Carrier Wing flies C-46 commandos on the Korean Airlift, formerly trained at Camp Atterbury, Ind., and included more than 100 Indiana officers and airmen.
