L.D. Holmes
- L.D. Holmes, our candidate for real estate appraiser, asserts through the columns of the Register that he is a Republican, all assertions to the contrary notwithstanding.
The following article was found in the Oct. 12, 1872, Lowell Star on page 5, column 1:
- The name of L.D. Holmes, as Real Estate Appraiser, was scratched from many tickets, for the reason that he was presumed to favor Greeley's election.
