FORMER LOWELL GIRL A BRIDE
MARRIED TO CLAUDE GREEN, OF HAMMOND, LAST SATURDAY.
Before an altar of palms and lilies, Saturday, Miss Lela Beatrice Taylor, grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Palmer of Monroe street, became the attractive bride of Claude Green, son of Mrs. George Dobbins, of Mason street. The ceremony took place at the hour of four at the First Presbyterian church, Hammond, where the Rev. J.C. Parrett read the service before about fifty friends. Walter Bell presided at the organ, playing the wedding march and "To a Wild Rose" during the reading of the service. Frederick Green served as usher. The bride was lovely in a frock of rose beige crepe Elizabeth with becoming hat and accessories to harmonize. She carried a pretty arm bouquet of yellow roses and valley lilies. Miss Florence Rohwer, as maid of honor, was attractive in a beige ensemble suit with accessories to match. She, too, carried a pretty arm bouquet of roses. The groom was served as best man by William J. Harringan. The single ring ceremony was used. Later the bridal party enjoyed a wedding dinner in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Green have left for a motor trip in southern Indiana. They will return to make their home on West Elizabeth street. Both Mr. and Mrs. Green are splendid young people, well known and popular with a circle of friends here. They were both graduates of the Hammond high school. The groom is a salesman for the Hammond Lumber Company. The out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hathaway, of Desplaines, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. C.J.
