Lewis Elwin McNay (1863-1926)

The following September 23, 1926, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 4, column 2:
    Lewis Elwin McNay was born October 1, 1863, on a farm near Manteno, Ill. His parents, John and Phoebe Jane McNay preceded him in death.

    He was married to Miss Alvaretta Hill in the year 1886. Of this union one child, Ina, was born on October 29, 1887. She died Sept. 13, 1901.

    His sister, Rose, died in 1913. Besides his nieces and one nephew, he leaves his only brother, Edd. to mourn his death. Since his stroke of paralysis about two years ago he has spent most of his time living with his brother Edd. at Crown Point.

    Funeral services were held at the home of his brother at Crown Point Wednesday of last week. Rev. G.B. Dunning, pastor of the Christian church at Crown Point, conducted the services. Interment was made at Orchard Grove cemetery where a short service was held.
