The following April 17, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found in section 2, page 2, column 3:

    PFC. G.R. UHTER TO WED MISS SCHLOBOHM

    Mr. and Mrs. August Schlobohm of Crown Point are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Lois, to Pfc. George R. Uhter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Uhter of Shelby.

    Miss Schlobohm, a graduate of Crown Point high school, is employed in the office of the Letz Manufacturing Company. Her fiancé is a member of the U.S. Army stationed at Camp Atterbury since his return from ten months service in Korea. He recently enjoyed a 30-day furlough at home. An alumnus of Lowell high school, Pfc. Uhter was employed by the Farm Bureau in Crown Point prior to entering the service.

    Wedding plans are indefinite.
