A copy of the following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

Lucretia A. Clark, wife of Francis Clark, and daughter of Paul and Ellen Dodge, died March 19, 1890, at the age of 21 years, 7 months, and 17 days.

In her brief, but painful illness no word of complaint was heard from her lips. She bore her suffering with Christian patience, trusting in the Savior she had learned to love. In that last and trying hour she found her fears banished by Him, who had tasted death for her.

Her younger siblings Rachel and Chester Dodge also died in March 1890.
