The following August 17, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 3:

AGED THAYER LADY DIED LAST FRIDAY

Mrs. Margaret Boswinkle, 82, a resident of Thayer for 50 years, passed away at her home last Friday.

Mrs. Boswinkle was born in Utrect, Holland, Sept. 17, 1861, and came to the United States at the age of 6 years, in 1867. She resided at South Holland, Ill., until she was 18 then married Matthew Boswinkle of Roseland, Ill., where she moved, residing there for 16 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Grave Van Meerten of Hebron, two sons, Henry of Thayer, and Robert of Roselawn; 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Thayer church Monday afternoon, with Rev. E.L. Worley officiating. Interment was made at DeMotte, in charge of Kenneth Sheets.
