The following June 9, 1927, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 1, column 2:

    CHURCH WEDDING

POPULAR LOWELL GIRL WEDS HAMMOND MAN JUNE THE FIRST

A quiet wedding, that of Miss Marguerite W. Bowman of Lowell, to R. Wayne Cunningham, took place at the Methodist church at Hammond, Ind., Wednesday, June 1st, at the hour of two, when the Rev. U.G. Leazenby united them in marriage, the double ring ceremony being used.

Miss Sarah Ruge, of Lowell, was maid of honor, Ralph Oyler of Warsaw, was best man, and Charles Bowman, Jr., acted as master of ceremonies.

The bridal gown was of lovebird green gauze chiffon embroidered with chenille rose birds. The bridal shower bouquet was lilies of the valley and pink rose buds. The maid of honor gown was pink georgette with Chantilly lace.

Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham will take a trip through the east during the summer and will be at home after September first at Hammond, Ind.
