    Services Held Saturday for Marion F. Ruff

    Memorial services were held at the Sheets funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday August 29th, for Marion Francis Ruff, 73, who passed away August 26th following a lingering illness. Rev. Loren E. Holt, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiated and Masonic ritual was conducted by the Lowell lodge. Interment was in the Riverview cemetery, South Bend.

    A retired railroader, Mr. Ruff, with his wife Elsie, made his home with their daugthter, Mrs. Kathryn Haberlin and family.

    The son of David and Sarah (Hedrich) Ruff, Marion was born at Donaldson, Ind., on the 30th of January 1880. He claimed Elsie Payne of Grovertown, Ind., as his bride on April 1, 1899, and they were the parents of seven children. All but Kathryn have preceded them in death.

    Surviving with his wife and daughter are seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
