The following item was in the June 10, 1920, Lowell Tribune (page 1, column 6):

    A Surprise

    Last Thursday, June 3, being the birthday of Mrs. Martha Vinnedger, her children planned a surprise on her She spent the evening away from home, and upon her return home found a number of guests assembled to celebrate her birthday. The evening was spent in having a general good time. At a late hour a delicious lunch was served.

    Those present were: Messrs and Mesdames Ed Pixley, Charles Taylor, Fay Vinnedge, O.G. Vinnedge; Clara Lightfoot, Edwin Lightfoot, Lyral Taylor, Mildred Pixley, Ethel and Helen Vinnedge.
