The following article appeared in the April 5, 1934, issue of the Lowell Tribune (page 5, column 2):

    POPULAR CEDAR LAKE GIRL WED

On Easter Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McLaughlin, of Cedar Lake, announced the marriage of their daughter, Martha, to J. Rex Queeney, of Ft. Wayne. The ceremony took place last February 17 at Hartford City, Ind.

The wedding service, a very simple one, was performed at the Presbyterian parsonage by the Rev. Herbert Cromwelle. The couple was attended only by mutual friends of the two parental families, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hamilton and Miss Ossa Lee Hamilton, of Huntington, Ind.

The bride is a graduate of the Arsenal Technical School of Indianapolis and Indiana University. She is affiliated with Delta Gamma. Mr. Queeney attended the Urban Military Academy of Hollywood, Calif., and Notre Dame.

After Apr. 10 the young couple will be at home at 835 West Wayne St., Ft. Wayne, Ind.

    -- Crown Point Register

The many Lowell friends of the bride will join us in extending congratulations and best wishes.
