The following article appeared in the April 5, 1934, issue of the Lowell Tribune (page 1, column 2):

    MRS. LEROY, 73, DIES AT INDIANA HARBOR

    Mrs. Mary E. LeRoy, wife of Geo. LeRoy, died Thursday at her home, 3929 Ivy street, Indiana Harbor. She was 73 years old, a member of the famous Dinwiddie clan, and had been a resident of Lake county all her life. She had lived in Indiana Harbor for 27 years.

    Surviving are the husband, a son, Claude LeRoy of Gary, and two daughters, Mrs. Vira Nolan of Gary, and Mrs. Edith M. Blais of Indiana Harbor. She also leaves two brothers, David and Thomas Dilley of Hebron, and two sisters, Mrs. Dora Bryant and Mrs. Jennie Nichols of Hebron. There are four grandchildren: Richard, Marjorie and Robert LeRoy and Eleanor Nolan.

    The funeral will be held at two o'clock Sunday afternoon from the United Presbyterian church. Burial will be at Hebron -- Lake County Times.

    Mrs. LeRoy was a former resident of Lowell, having resided here with her family for a number of years. She has a host of friends here at her old home, who will regret to hear of her death.
