The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Betty Burton of Lowell:
- Mrs. Mary Lamphier, wife of Leland Lamphier of Harrington avenue, passed away at her home Friday morning, May 5th, following a lingering illness. She was aged 73 years and had been a resident of Crown Point during the most of her life.
Survivors include her husband, a brother, Charles Dulien, of Lake Village, Ind., and three half-sisters, Mrs. William McFarland, of Griffith, Mrs. William Yoder, of Walkerton and Mrs. Cora Young, of Hammond.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Linton Chapel with Rev. T.H. Adkins officiating. Interment was in Salem cemetery near Palmer, Ind.
