Mayette Arseneau
HONOR ARSENEAUS ON SILVER ANNIVERSARY
Relatives and friends gathered at the community building Sunday, April 8th, to honor Mr. and Mrs. Mayotte [sic] Arseneau on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary. A large wedding cake adorned the table where 60 guests enjoyed a one o'clock dinner. Decorations were carried out in the silver scheme complimented with bouquets of roses and carnations. The honorees received many lovely gifts including an album of silver dollars.The day was enjoyed at visiting and cards. Many friends called in the afternoon and evening to extend congratulations. The couple's son, Donald, stationed in California with the U.S. Navy phoned a message of good wishes. The bridesmaid of 25 years ago, Mrs. Gerald Koble was present.
Mrs. Arseneau wore a dress of navy crepe accented by silver accessories and a white rose corsage as she greeted guests from LaPorte, Walkerton, Valparaiso, Chesterton, Kouts, Hammond, Lowell, Chicago, Momence, Kankakee and Grant Park.
The affair was arranged by Winfred Shade and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Barker.
