The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

Sympathy is extended the Charles Alger family in the death of his sister, Mrs. Mildred Pinkerton, 67, who passed away in Hammond, May 10, following a cerebral hemorrhage. Memorial services were held Monday, and burial was in Elmwood cemetery, in Hammond. She is survived by a daughter, three sons, nine grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers, also her mother, Mrs. Elnore Alger.
